New Zealand defeated Papua New Guinea PNG by 7 wickets in the match completed last night. New Zealand completed the target of 79 runs given by PNG by losing three wickets in 12.2 overs.
Earlier, New Zealand, who won the toss and fielded first, dismissed PNG for 78 runs in 19.4 overs.
Ferguson took 3 wickets in 4 overs for New Zealand. He became the first bowler to take a maiden in 4 overs in the Men’s T20 World Cup. Afghanistan and West Indies have already entered Group C.
