Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Ravi Lamichhane has been saying that if he cannot work, he will leave the government himself. Stating that he took a risk and went to the government, he has been repeatedly saying that resignation is in the bag of everyone who wants to leave the government when they are unable to work.
Alleging that the Prime Minister had to kill the Congress because it could not work, he is saying that if they cannot work, they will leave themselves. He said that he started catching the fish of corruption, ‘Some fish are very slippery and they slip while trying to catch them, but no matter how slippery and slippery they are, they have no skill.
Not only Ravi, but every MP of his party has been saying that they will leave the government if they are not able to work or not. Only on Saturday, Youth and Sports Minister Virajbhakt Shrestha also said that the National Independent Party is ready to leave the government if unnecessary compromises are made. At the ceremony organized on the occasion of the second founding year of the RASWP, he said that he was ready to resign by writing the date when such a situation occurred, saying that he was walking with his resignation letter in his pocket.
He said, ‘In the current situation, if we have to make some kind of agreement in an unnecessary, unauthorized manner, the RSVP is ready to come out of the government that very day. Only the date remains to be written in our resignation letter. We have prepared it and carried it.’
He said that it is time to review the support given to the government, saying that the old ritualism in power is not achieving. He said, ‘We are all experiencing the fact that governmental injustice is more terrifying than social injustice. Why is it that we are leading the government and we are walking between the two-edged swords that power is not achieved in the old ritualistic way. It is time to review the support we have given to the government. In addition, the power partner parties have also started to review it once and review it.’
This is the second innings of Lamichhane as Home Minister who was forced to leave the government due to an error in his citizenship when he first joined the government. In the last term, he has not only been accused of co-operative fraud, but also accused of not being able to work. Even in the achievement of Sayedine announced by the ministers of RSVP, the conclusion that ‘even if we could not do anything, we did not spoil anything’ was seen.
Lately, Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Ravi Lamichhane is not satisfied with the Chief of Police (IGP) Basant Bahadur Kunwar. Home Minister Lamichhane understands that IGP Kunwar has not been able to walk according to his spirit. That is why it is being discussed that he wants to remove the police chief.
There was a difference of opinion between the Home Minister and IGP Kunwar regarding the arrest of Kailash Sirohia, Chairman of Kantipur Publications. Home Minister Lamichhane was trying to arrest Sirohia immediately, while Kunwar said that he should also talk to the Prime Minister.
The police arrested Sirohit on 8th of June in connection with the citizenship dispute. He was released from police custody for 9 days. This case has further increased the differences of opinion between Home Minister Lamichhane and IGP Kunwar. That is why he is trying to change the police chief.
However, Prime Minister Dahal, who reached the home district of Chitwan on Monday, answered the questions raised by the correspondents and said that the change of Inspector General of Nepal Police was just a rumour.
Mentioning that he has instructed the inspectors to work with confidence, he said, ‘I have told them to be confident and work. ‘I told you to work in the same spirit,’ Dahal further said, IGP will not change. That’s just a rumor.’
On the one hand, Lamichhane is not satisfied with the work of the IGP, on the other hand, Dahal himself has expressed dissatisfaction with the leadership of the Nepal Police saying that the home administration mechanism has neglected some of his instructions. Based on this, after the leaked information that the Chief of Police was about to change created a stir, the Nepal Police published a statement and refuted it.
Due to the fact that it is not possible to work while sitting in the government and the attacks of the opposition are always on themselves, there is no condition for the RSVP to continue to be happy in the government. Since the prime minister did not agree on the removal of the police chief, this could be an excuse for the RSVP to leave the government.
