May 21, Kathmandu. Oman set a modest target of 110 runs to Namibia in the ICC T20 Cricket World Cup. Oman, who lost the toss and batted first in this morning’s match, looked weak against the Namibian bowlers. Namibia lost consecutive wickets in the first and second balls of the match and were reduced to 109 runs in 19.4 overs.
Oman’s Khalid Kail scored 34 runs, Jisan Maqsood scored 22 runs, Ayan Khan scored 15 runs, and Shakeel Ahmed scored 11 runs. Other batters could not reach double figures. Namibia’s Rubin Trumpelman took 4 and David Wiss 3, Gerald Erasmus 2 and Bernard Scholz took 1 wicket while covering Oman cheaply. In no time, Namibia will bat back.
