Kathmandu – The Nepal Telecommunication Authority has warned that the licenses of 55 internet service providers will be revoked if they do not inform about the closure of Tiktok by Wednesday. Out of 130 companies licensed by the authority, 55 service providers have not yet informed whether their services have been closed or not, so the authority has instructed them to inform about this within Wednesday.
On October 27th, the government, through the decision of the Council of Ministers, together with the decision of the Tiktok government, asked all the service providers to inform them whether or not Tiktok has been closed.
The authority can take action against companies that have not closed Tiktok and have not come in contact with a fine of up to 500,000 rupees as well as canceling their license.
