Kathmandu: A writ of detention has been registered in the Supreme Court against the illegal detention of medical practitioner Durga Prasai.
Senior Advocate Surendra Bhandari registered the writ saying that the District Administration Office and the District Police Complex Bhaktapur have kept Prasain illegally in Nadarbandh.
Supreme Court Information Officer Govinda Prasad Ghimire informed that Bhandari has registered a writ of arrest against District Administration Office and District Police Complex Bhaktapur. A writ of detention has been filed for illegal detention. Its payment has been fixed for Sunday,’ Ghimire told Annapurna.
Prasain, a medical professional, had announced a protest focused on Tinkune on Friday. But the police arrested a supporter of the Prasain group in Tinkune and kept him under house arrest at his residence in Bhaktapur.
