The representatives of various cooperatives, including the actresses Basundhara Bhusal and Chaitanya Devi, participated in a protest demanding the return of the total amount deposited in different cooperatives. They claimed that they are facing significant problems due to not receiving the refunded amount and urged the government to address the issue properly.

Basundhara Bhusal raised the issue of her three-year-long struggle to get justice after the cooperative management sold the assets of the affected individuals. She claimed that she and her family were cheated out of 16.5 million Nepalese Rupees, including 1.5 million Rupees kept with the Bhuvan Chaitanya Basundhara Foundation. She demanded the government to take appropriate action against the mismanagement of thousands of cooperatives.

Nepal Magar Association warned against arresting Advocate Bhagawati Pande Shital for participating in the protest.

The civil campaigners protested against the misuse of funds for construction projects and demanded an extension of deadlines for all events. They gathered at Baluwatar to draw attention to their grievances.

Dr. Govind Keshi a healthcare reform campaigner, initiated a satyagraha after the government failed to implement the agreement for health and medical education reform.

Ravi Lamichhane the President of Rashtriya Swabhiman Party, disclosed that the government received inspiration to expose the corruption in the Rasuwagadhi case due to their anti-corruption campaign.

Nepali society celebrated Saun 15 (mid-August) by eating Kheer (rice pudding), a traditional practice dating back to ancient times. Kheer is believed to promote good health during the monsoon season.

The construction entrepreneurs protested in Baluwatar demanding payment for their construction work and extending deadlines for various events. The Nepal Construction Entrepreneurs Association held demonstrations in several places across the country.

Minister of Agriculture Beduram Bhusal clarified that there was no shortage of fertilizers in the country, contrary to the previous year.

Health and Population Minister Mohan Bahadur Basnet revealed that the lack of funds did not lead to any loss of life in Nepal.

Sher Bahadur Deuba the President of Nepali Congress, asserted that it is the party’s duty to ensure lasting unity.

CPN (Maoist Center) Vice-Chairman Pun Ananta declared that he is ready to face any punishment, even death, for his involvement in the Ncell tax evasion case. He mentioned that he was used as a tool for the state’s choice for investigation during the time of the photo taken with the telecommunication worker eight years ago.
