“Actor Vipin Karki’s roles in the films ‘Ek Bhagwat Gita’ and ‘Pashupatiprasad-2: Bhsmeko Dan’ were unveiled through public posters on the same day.
In these two films, Vipin’s characters were not the same. However, the way he has been portrayed in the posters indicates his strong commitment to the film industry and his roles in driving its success.
In the film ‘Ek Bhagwat Gita,’ produced by Sunil Kumar Thapa, Vipin is not the only one featured; Suhana Thapa and Dhiraj Magar are also part of it.
Yet, the public display of the poster has undeniably increased anticipation for this film. Notably, Vipin’s portrayal of a transgender character in the film aligns well with the trend seen in the recently successful web series based on transgender narratives.
This fresh representation of transgender characters challenges the predominantly negative and comedic roles often given to them in Nepali films.
Based on the publicized trailer, Vipin’s character in this film appears positive. The film is directed by Jharana Thapa. It is set to release on August 29.
On Friday, the poster of ‘Bhasme Dan’ was also unveiled publicly. Vipin himself features on the poster.
Even the role of becoming a mother is given a prominent place on the poster. This film is directed by Deependra K. Khanal. Whether the story of the film, set to release on Kartik 4, follows the same traditional style or incorporates new elements, the director’s intentions seem to lean towards the former.
Vipin has also aspired to make films. It’s a tough task for both posters to be revealed on the same day, offering praise to the actors. However, he has allocated an equal place for both posters on his social media platform.
He shared the poster of ‘Ek Bhagwat Gita’ with the caption, ‘Maya to All,’ and for ‘Bhasme Dan,’ he wrote, ‘Bhasme Dan in this Dashain.’ The positive feedback for both posters is evident.”
