Comedians Ashish Shah Thakuri and Ajay Shah Thakuri have released their comedy sketch titled “Delhi ko Murra” (Delhi’s Parrot) to the public, capitalizing on the opportunity provided by the Gaaijatra festival.
In their sketch “Delhi ko Murra” which integrates various subjects such as politics, economy and society they present a satirical take on the significant events that have occurred in the country throughout the year.
“The main purpose of Gaaijatra is to use satire against various superstitions and anomalies present in society” says Ashish. “We’ve prepared this special Gaaijatra presentation with that exact intention.”
Recently returned from work in Korea due to the lack of jobs, both Ashish and Ajay have made their comedy sketch “Delhi ko Murra” public.
Ashish and Ajay, who have gained experience in numerous television serials and stage shows including Kantipur Television’s comedy serial “Twakka Tukka Returns” and radio program “Gajjab Chha Ba,” have collaborated effectively on this Ko-Seli (comedy sketch).
The sketch “Delhi ko Murra,” with editing by Ashish and direction by Ajay Shah, along with a runtime of approximately 17 minutes, has struck a chord with audiences and listeners, revealing Ashish’s belief in winning their hearts.
The video was released on the online platform “Chautari” via YouTube making it publicly available.
Last year, Ashish made a comedy sketch titled “Balakot ko Bardali,” which was also released to the public.
