Very heavy rain occurred in the Kathmandu Valley last night triggering floods in the rivers and rivulets in the federal capital.
Residents of the flood-prone areas have been asked to be cautious as the level of water in the rivers and streams of the Kathmandu Valley has gone up.
Meanwhile, the Flood Forecasting Division issued an alert on Wednesday morning asking the people to be cautious as the water level in Bagmati, Hanumante, Manohara, Dhobikhola, Bishnumati, Nakhkhu, Balkhukhola in the valley is close to the danger mark.

The department has said, “Don’t travel through coastal areas, where roads and settlements may be flooded. Residents in flood-prone areas should stay alert until at least 10 am.”
