This award has been presented for the past 15 years. Local authorities (Metropolitan City, Sub-Metropolitan City, Municipality) can submit applications for the award. A certain number of awards will be determined based on the applicants’ selection.
The main objective of the program is to promote natural and cultural assets as tourist destinations and make tourism services competitive. It aims to maximize the potential of tourism development, disseminate information to enthusiastic tourists by improving communication and marketing of destinations.
The award program will promote destinations internationally, including Switzerland and Italy, among other international regions.
In the honored city, discussions on the value of tourism and its subjects will take place. Local government officials, dignitaries from honored institutions, and representatives will participate in destination promotion programs.
