Sunrisers Hyderabad have entered the finals of the Indian Premier League (IPL) for the third time. In the final on Friday night, Hyderabad defeated Rajasthan Royals by 36 runs and confirmed the final meeting with Kolkata.
Hyderabad made it to the finals after 6 years. Earlier in 2018, Hyderabad entered the final. In the final, Hyderabad lost to Chennai by 8 wickets. Before that, in 2016, Hyderabad became champions by defeating Royals Challengers Bangalore.
In the match in Chennai on Friday, Hyderabad batted first and scored 175 runs for the loss of 9 wickets. Travis Head scored 34 runs while Heinrich Klaasen scored a 50-run half-century for Hyderabad. Similarly, Abhisek Sharma scored 12 runs while Rahul Tripathi scored 37 runs. Sehbaz Ahmed scored 18 runs.
Chasing a target of 176 runs in reply, Rajasthan could only score 139 runs after losing 7 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. For him, Dhruv Jurel scored 56 runs unbeaten while Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 42 runs.
Similarly, while Cadmore and Sanju Samson scored 10 runs each after opening the tome, other players could not score runs in double figures.
