Kathmandu. The International Cricket Council (ICC) issued a press release on Friday evening and said that it has decided to suspend the membership of Sri Lanka Cricket. The meeting of the ICC Board held on Friday took a decision in this regard.
In the press release, it is said that Sri Lanka Cricket has failed to fulfill its responsibilities as a member of the International Cricket Council. The ICC also stated that Sri Lanka was not able to carry out its work independently.
The ICC is accused of not being able to ensure that Sri Lanka Cricket can fulfill its responsibilities such as the administration and regulation of cricket in Sri Lanka without government interference. In addition, it is said that the terms of this suspension will be decided by the ICC Board in the near future.
