On Wednesday afternoon, the Nepali national cricket team arrived home after competing in the Asia Cup for the first time. At Tribhuvan Airport, members of the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) and its supporters welcomed the team.
Nepal, who participated in the Asia Cup from Group A, was eliminated after the group stage. Nepal faced Pakistan, the top-ranked team in the world, and India, the third-ranked team, for the first match in the group.
According to Duckworth-Lewis standards, India was defeated by 10 wickets in the second match whereas Nepal was defeated by Pakistan by 238 runs in the first match.
However, Nepal performed better against India than Pakistan did.
