Kathmandu: Ramechhap-Kathmandu Journalist Society is going to organize futsal tournament in Kathmandu.
Prajwal Paudel, Secretary General of the organization, informed that the second Ramechhap Cup Futsal Tournament will be held from Saturday, Chait 10th, targeting the residents of the district who are involved in various professions and are affiliated to the association.
According to him, residents of Ramechhap District can participate in the competition held at Copon Sports Center Baluwakhani Kapan, both individually and institutionally.
Poudel said that the winner of the competition will be awarded with a shield prize of Rs.50,000, Rs.30,000 and Rs.20,000 respectively for the first, second and third winners.
Ghanshyam Shrestha, team registration coordinator and member of Ramechhap- Journalist Society, informed that up to 8 players can participate in the tournament which will be played on the basis of Leaguecom Knockout.
He said that a photocopy of the player’s citizenship when registering the team and citizenship is mandatory when coming to the game. He said, ‘Futsal tournament has been organized targeting individuals and organizations in Kathmandu Utpayaka from Ramechhap district.
This time we have also doubled the prize money. Subas Sunuwar, a member of the Ramechhap Kathmandu Journalist Association, informed that the team registration for the competition has already started.
“We have started team registration. We have organized this competition not only with the aim of increasing mutual understanding among Ramechhap residents and encouraging them to play.
This time too, we hope that the young players of Ramechhap will participate enthusiastically. He said, “The team must be registered before 9th of April.”
Aneraswawiu won the first Ramechhap Cup Futsal title by defeating Likhu Bhuji Youth Club Ramechhap 2-0 in the tribreaker. In the match for third place, Dynamic Youth defeated Mahakali Yuva Club 2-0 and finished third.
In the previous edition, the first, second and third winners were given cash prizes of Rs 25,000, 15,000 and Rs.10,000 respectively. In the previous edition, 27 teams from the district participated. Ramechhap-Kathmandu Journalist Society is a joint organization of journalists active in journalism from Ramechhap in Kathmandu Valley.
The organization is registered in District Administration Office Kathmandu.
