Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao starrer Bollywood horror-comedy film ‘Stree 2’ is earning well all over the world including India. The film has made a historic profit in India.
According to Bollywood film trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the film has made a net collection of Rs 502.35 crore at the Indian box office till the 18th day. In its third weekend, it surpassed the record of ‘Baahubali 2’ (Hindi version).
The film earned 307.80 crores in the first week, 145.80 crores in the second week and 48.75 crores in the third weekend.
Interestingly, it took 18 days for Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Jawan’ to enter the Rs 500 crore club. Shraddha Kapoor’s ‘Stree 2’ also took the same number of days to equal this. In terms of earnings, ‘Stree 2’ and ‘Jawan’ are equal.
Jawan, Gadar 2, Pathan, Baahubali 2 (Hindi) and Animal have already entered the 500 crore club. ‘Looking at the trend of the earnings of the third weekend, there is no sign of stopping its pace,’ Adarsh mentioned, ‘Now everyone’s attention is drawn towards the 600 crore club.’
It is ideal that ‘Stree 2’ can surpass the lifetime achievement of ‘Jawan’ and keep the record of the highest grossing film if it maintains this pace of earnings.
