Kathmandu. Google Photos has crossed 10 billion downloads on Google Play Store. Google’s photo storage platform recently surpassed this figure.
Released in 2015, this app has become a suitable option for storing photos online. As a result of that, five years after its release, i.e. in 2020, this app crossed the five billion download mark. After that, within four years, this platform has been downloaded twice from Google Play Store, i.e. 10 billion times.
Recently, new features have come in Google Photos. The popularity of this app has increased as it can be used to edit photos and videos, and can use different types of filters.

Google has recently included a feature that can edit photos with the help of AI. Under this, there are features such as blurring the background automatically, searching for photos by face, viewing memories, etc.
This app comes pre-installed on Android phones like OnePlus, Oppo, Xiaomi, Samsung. Some entry-level phones have Google Photos as their default gallery app.
Google Photos is the 10th Google app to cross the 10 billion download mark. Recently, Google Drive crossed 10 billion downloads. Chrome, Gmail, YouTube, Google Apps, Play Services, Speech Services and Android Accessibility are other Google platforms that have crossed the 10 billion download mark.
