Kathmandu. Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Ravi Lamichhane has said that the process has been advanced by talking with the Malaysian Home Minister to bring GB Rai, who was involved in the cooperative fraud case, to Nepal.
Speaking at the House of Representatives meeting on Monday, Home Minister Lamichhane said that the fact that GB Rai is in Malaysia has been discovered through the investigation by the state agencies, and that he has spoken to the Home Minister of Malaysia twice about bringing him back to Nepal. He said that the problem should be solved through legal means, and the state mechanisms on both sides are in dialogue.
Home Minister Lamichhane also informed that the Malaysian government was positive during the dialogue and that the requested documents have been sent from Nepal. He said that by bringing GB Rai to Nepal, the government is committed to create an environment to return the victims’ savings. He said that Rai’s arrest has become a matter of anxious waiting for him to get rid of the accusations against him. He said that he is confident that the government will succeed in bringing Rai to Nepal.
Home Minister Lamichhane said that the Central Investigation Bureau of Police is waiting for the complaint of Giribandhu Tistate. He said that the police is ready to investigate the matter at any time after receiving the complaint.
Home Minister Lamichhane said that within two months after the budget is passed, a powerful commission will be formed to prepare the file of 25 scandals in the past. He also informed that the file of Patanjali Ayurveda Company has been opened from today. He said that the closed file of Bhutanese refugees is about to be opened. He also said that the files of kindergartens and scouts were not closed. He also said that the file of Bansbari is not closed and work is being done to open the file of Tikapur.
Home Minister Lamichhane said that the file of 9,000 bigha land in Greater Janakpur is also being prepared.
