Australia has won a great victory over England in the ongoing T20 World Cup. Australia defeated England by 36 runs in last night’s Group B match.
Chasing the target of 202 runs given by Australia, England scored only 165 runs losing 7 wickets in 20 overs. Captain Jos Buttler scored 42 runs for England, Phil Salt scored 37, Moeen Ali scored 25 and Harry Brook scored 20.
Similarly, Australian bowlers Adam Zampa and Pat Cummins took 2 wickets each, while Jos Hazlewood and Marcus Stoinis took one wicket each.
Australia, who lost the toss and batted first, scored 201 runs after losing 7 wickets in 20 overs. For Australia, David Warner scored 39 runs while captain Mitchell Marsh scored 35 runs, Travis Head scored 34 runs, Marcus Stoinis scored 30 runs, Glenn Maxwell scored 28 runs.
After this victory, Australia won the second consecutive victory and is at the top position in Group B with 4 points. Similarly, England has one point in 2 games.
Now Australia is scheduled to play their next match against Namibia on June 12, while England will play against Oman on June 14.
