Kathmandu. Liverpool head coach Jurgen Klopp says Arne Slott is his potential successor as he leaves Anfield on Sunday.
Slott, who has been the coach of Dutch club Feyenoord since 2021, said on Friday that he will become Liverpool’s new coach. However, Liverpool have not officially commented on his imminent arrival as Klopp’s replacement.
Klopp spent almost 9 years at Anfield. His last game was a 2–0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers.
‘You welcome the new manager as you welcome me and you keep believing,’ Klopp shouted into the microphone as Liverpool supporters chanted for Arne Slott.
Slut left Feyenoord after a 4-0 win over Excelsior in the Dutch league on Sunday. Liverpool had already agreed to pay Feyenoord 11 million euros ($11.7 million) in compensation for the 45-year-old slot. He has been coaching Feyenoord since 2021. Won the league last year and the Dutch Cup this season.
