Nepali Students’ Tragic Fate in Hamas Attack: Deaths and Injuries in Israel
10 Nepali students have died in Israel due to the attack of the Palestinian rebels (Hamas). According to Nitin Bhandari, a Nepalese student who went along, four others were injured and one person is missing. Nitin informed that the other two are safe. Nitin says that they are all students of Sudurpaschim University.
The deceased have been identified as Narayan Prasad Neupane of Kailali, Ashish Chaudhary, Ganesh Kumar Nepali of Bajhang, Dipeshraj Bista of Darchula, Lokendra Singh Dhami, Anand Shah of Dhanusha, Rajesh Kumar Swarankar of Sunsari, Rajan Phulara of Doti, Padam Thapa and Pravesh Bhandari of Salyan. Pramod KC from Salyan and Birendra Chaudhary Sakulas from Kailali are among those who went to Israel for 11 months for agricultural research and work under the ‘Learn and Earn’ program.
Among them, Pramod is with the owner of the agricultural farm, while Birendra is safe with the police. Similarly, out of the four injured in the attack by the rebels, Vidhan Sejwa of Salyan and Pravin Dangi of Dang have sustained leg injuries, while Dhan Bahadur Chaudhary of Kailali and Himanchal Kattel of Gorkha are safe in the hospital. Bipin Josi of Kanchanpur has remained uncontacted. The Nepali Embassy in Israel and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs have not officially confirmed this matter.
