New Delhi – The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has announced that it has started preparations for an unmanned test flight as part of the Gaganyaan mission. A post by ISRO on social network X (Twitter) said, “Mission Gaganyaan: ISRO to begin unmanned test flight for Gaganyaan, Flight Test Vehicle Abort Mission-1 (TV-D One) is being prepared to demonstrate crew escape system.”
According to ISRO, this test flight will pave the way for the rest of the qualification tests and unmanned missions that will lead to the launch of the first Gaganyaan mission with Indian astronauts. ISRO, issuing a statement regarding the first cross module for the first test flight of the Gaganyaan mission, has mentioned that the preparation for the first flight of the test vehicle (TV-D One) has reached its final stage.
