National Freedom Party’s President Ravi Lamichhane has expressed concerns about the continuous discussions among the top leaders. Speaking during a parliamentary session on Tuesday, he mentioned a scent of bargaining.
“There are discussions among the top leaders. There’s talk of dividing the spoils. When the house is divided, the session won’t run. Why engage in bargaining at this crucial time?” he questioned.
He indicated that leaders who don’t want to see each other’s faces are unable to even coexist raising serious doubts. This raises significant concerns for us he added.
Lamichhane noted that various state institutions have been made ineffective due to political interference for years leading to a loss of public trust in those institutions.
He raised questions about why the gold found outside the airport was sent to Singha Durbar. “Why wasn’t the gold taken to the rightful owner? Raids were conducted at the company three days later. Why did it take three days to get there? he asked.
