Pedro Cabizbajo of Argentina won the title of the Swiss Open Tennis. He defeated Albert Ramos-Vinolas in the final with a scoreline of 3–6, 6–0, 7–5 sets to clinch the Swiss Open title.
This victory marks Cabizbajo’s first title in his tennis career and has propelled him to a significant jump of 54 places in the world tennis rankings.
At 28 years old, Cabizbajo had to stay away from the tennis court for a long time due to wrist and horseback injuries. Just a year ago, he managed to break into the top 100 rankings successfully.
Before this competition, Cabizbajo had suffered a defeat in the first round of Wimbledon against Novak Djokovic and was knocked out of the tournament.
