Kathmandu. Nepal has been eliminated from the ongoing Women’s Asia Cup. In the last match of the group stage, Nepal was eliminated after losing to India by 82 runs.
Chasing the target of 179 runs given by India, Nepal scored 96 runs by taking 9 wickets in 20 overs. For Nepal, Sita Rana Magar scored 18 runs while Rubina Chhetri scored 15 runs and captain Indu Burma scored 14 runs.
Earlier, after winning the toss, India batted first and scored 178 runs losing 3 wickets in 20 overs.

Sefali Barma top scored 81 runs for India while Dayalan Hemalta scored 47 runs. Likewise, Geminah Rodriguez scored 28 runs and Sanjivan Sajna scored 10 runs.
Similarly, Nepalese bowler Sita Rana Magar took 2 wickets and Kabita Joshi took one wicket.
With this victory, India won three consecutive matches in the group stage and reached the semi-finals as the group winners, while Pakistan reached the semi-finals as the runners-up.
In the same way, from Group A, Nepal has won one match out of 3 matches and finished third with 2 points. UAE has been eliminated from Group A after losing the same match.
