Table tennis player Santu Shrestha and judo player Manita Shrestha Pradhan will jointly carry the flag of Nepal at the March Pass of the 33rd Summer Olympic Games to be held in Paris, France.
According to the Nepal Olympic Committee, Santu and Manita will carry Nepal’s flag in the opening of the competition which will be held from 11th to 27th July. Santu is going to participate in the Olympics through regional and Manita continental selection.
Seven athletes from Nepal will participate in the Paris Olympics, in which Prince Dahal of badminton along with Santu and Manita, Sushmita Nepal of shooting, Alexander Shah and Duwana Lama of swimming and Santoshi Shrestha of athletics will present Nepal’s challenge.

Pradeep Khati in shooting, Rajendra Kapali in table tennis, Devu Thapa in judo, Kantikumari Mahato Yadav in athletics and Nayana Shakya in swimming will play the role of coaches in the Olympics. The prince of badminton has to play without a coach. Navisman Singh is the main team doctor.
Most of the members of the Nepalese team that will participate there have already reached Paris. Youth and Sports Minister Tejulal Chaudhary along with President of Nepal Olympic Committee Jeevanram Shrestha and General Secretary Nilendra Raj Shrestha will be present at the opening ceremony, according to the Olympic Committee.
Similarly, as the marathon competition is on the last day of athletics, Santoshi, who will participate in it, is scheduled to leave for Paris on July 15th.
