A British education group has acquired a 125-year-old college in Canada. The British Education Group, which operates educational institutions including the prestigious British College in Nepal, has acquired Maritime Business College (MBC), one of the old private colleges in Nova Scotia, Canada.
Founded in 1899, Halifax-based MBC has been providing education in technical subjects. Initially established to meet the needs of local businessmen, MBC has been teaching business administration, veterinary assistant, medical device reprocessing, interior decorating and 2D-3D animation and digital arts subjects.
During the 125 years of establishment, MBC has been earning a strong reputation in the field of employment by preparing skilled manpower. Now the British Education Group has planned to add some courses in The Woolwich College in London after purchasing the college.
Rajan Kandel, CEO of British Education Group, which has been expanding its educational network, said after acquiring MBC, which has a history of more than a century, ‘We are committed to providing new experiences with global opportunities to our students. This acquisition will facilitate easy credit transfer between our campuses in Nepal, Dubai, and Canada, further promoting our vision of building global citizens.’
CEO Kandel thanked everyone who participated in the acquisition process that took more than 6 months, as well as the Nepali community in Canada, and expressed his gratitude, expecting continued support, support and guidance in the future. British Education Group is providing global exposure to students and staff by operating educational institutions in Nepal, Dubai and London. The group believes that the recently acquired college in Canada is also a significant achievement for academic excellence.
