The first qualifier match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is taking place today. In the first qualifier, a match is being played between Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad.
This match to be held in Ahmedabad is starting from 7:45 pm according to Nepali Samaya.
Kolkota is at the top of the points table and is about to play the first qualifier. Kolkota has won 9 and lost 3 in 13 matches and is at the top position with 20 points.
Similarly, Sunrisers Hyderabad had 8 wins and 5 losses in 14 matches and one match was cancelled. Sunrisers are in second place with 17 points.
Kolkota Knight Riders have won the IPL title twice so far in 2012 and 2014. Similarly, Kolkota became the runner-up in 2021. With this, Kolkota has reached the playoffs for the eighth time.
Similarly, Sunrisers Hyderabad has won the IPL title once so far in 2016. Sunrisers, who have been playing in the IPL since 2013, were runners-up in 2018 and have reached the playoffs seven times.

The winner of today’s first qualifier will go directly to the final, while the defeated team will get the opportunity to play the second qualifier.
