Kathmandu. The equation for the quarterfinals of the ACC Women’s Premier Cup in Malaysia has been completed. With the completion of the group stage matches on Tuesday, the equation for the quarterfinals has been completed.
8 countries including Nepal, Thailand, Kuwait, UAE, Japan, Malaysia, Indonesia and Hong Kong have reached the quarter finals in the Women’s Premier Cup in which 16 countries participated.
Similarly, Myanmar, Singapore, China, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, Bhutan and Maldives have dropped out of the competition.
Now Nepal will face Kuwait in the quarterfinals. Similarly, Hong Kong will face Thailand and Indonesia will face UAE in the quarterfinals. Similarly, Malaysia will face Japan.
The matches in the quarterfinals are being held on Wednesday. The match in Nepal will start at 11:15 am according to Nepali time.
Today, Nepal is facing Bhutan in the ACC Women’s Premier Cup in Malaysia.
The match will be held at Bayumas Oval in Malaysia and will start at 7:15 am according to Nepali time.
Nepal and Bhutan have won their first match in Group D. In the match completed on Saturday, Nepal defeated Hong Kong by 8 wickets. Similarly, Bhutan defeated Maldives by 94 runs.
Hong Kong and Maldives in Group D lost their first match. Nepal is scheduled to play its third match against Maldives on February 13.
The ACC Women’s Premier Cup includes Nepal, Thailand, UAE, Indonesia, Hong Kong, China, Myanmar, Bhutan, Bahrain, Oman, Kuwait, Singapore, Japan, Qatar and Maldives along with the host Malaysia. The winners and runners-up of the four groups will advance to the quarterfinals.
The winner and runner-up of this tournament will be selected for the ACC Women’s Asia Cup 2024. Similarly, the countries that reach the semi-finals of this tournament will be selected for the ACC Women’s Emerging Asia Cup 2025.
