Butwal-The Tilottma Municipality will honor Captain Deb Khanal with cash, who has made a very important contribution to Nepal’s entry into the Super Six in the Under-19 World Cup cricket tournament in South Africa.
Mayor Ramakrishna Khan said that the municipality announced to give 50,000 cash to captain Khanal for winning the match between Nepal and Afghanistan by 1 wicket on Friday.
Mayor Khan said that the municipality has decided to honor Khanal, the captain of the Nepalese team in the World Cup cricket, as he played an important role in raising the prestige of Nepal and making the team win.
Captain Khanal contributed 58 runs against Afghanistan including a half-century. Captain Khanal, who is a permanent resident of Tilottama Municipality 13 in Rupandehi, has raised the prestige of Sigo town as well, said town chief Khan. Earlier, the municipality also honored 3 sportspersons with 50,000 rupees in cash.
