Kathmandu. The police have arrested a woman who cheated the victim of lakhs of money by making her fall in love through social media. The arrested person is 29-year-old Sanisha Malla of Lalitpur Metropolitan City-19.
Malla made the victims believe that she was an Italian citizen, Dr. Rabeya Hicol, through social media such as Facebook, WhatsApp, etc. Then she used to say that she will send iPhone, gold and jewelry, gifts worth 5 thousand dollars.
After sending the gift, chat and call Dr. The gift sent by Rabeya has arrived at Indira Gandhi Airport in India. She used to make the victim believe that you have to pay money for purposes like customs duty, delivery charge etc. to get the parcel.
On the other hand, the victim used to make frequent deposits in bank accounts in the names of different people. In this way, he has so far cheated 17 lakh 15 thousand rupees, according to the spokesperson of the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office, Superintendent of Police Rabindra Regmi.
Regmi informed that Malla was arrested and sent to District Police Complex Lalitpur for necessary investigation and action on fraud related offences.
