Application Process for American Diversity Visa (DV) Program 2025 in Nepal
To apply for the DV program, you need to visit the U.S. State Government’s website and fill out the application form with all the required documents. The application will require details such as your name, date of birth, place of birth, passport information, photo, address, phone number, email, and more. It’s essential to provide accurate information, and it’s recommended not to use photos older than six months. Married individuals must provide all the details of their spouse and children, if applicable.
Important considerations for DV applicants:
- Free Application: There is no fee to participate in the DV program.
- No Consultant Needed: You don’t need a consultant to fill out your DV application. The U.S. Embassy will provide assistance if required, and it’s recommended to consult with family members, friends, or trusted individuals if you need help. Ultimately, you are responsible for your application.
- Online Form Submission: To apply for the Diversity Visa program for 2025, applicants must visit https://dvprogram.state.gov/ and fill out the Electronic Diversity Visa (E-DV) application form.
- Family Information: It’s mandatory to list all unmarried children under 21 years of age, even if they are not traveling with you. Failure to include them will make your application invalid.
- One Application per Person: Each person can submit only one application. Multiple applications will disqualify you from the program.
- Recent Photo: Use a recent photo that adheres to the specified guidelines. Photos with glasses are not allowed.
- No Recent Obligation: Applicants do not need to meet the residency requirement if they did not meet it when applying for the previous DV program.
- Save and Print Confirmation Number: The confirmation number is essential for checking your application status. Do not share this number with anyone else.
- Do not give your confirmation number to anyone.
- Check the Status: If you have been selected, you can check your status using your confirmation number.
It is important to remember that participating in the DV program does not guarantee a visa. Consular officers will determine eligibility during interviews.
