Prime Minister Pushpakamal Dahal Prachanda has announced that United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres will visit Nepal soon.
After completing his visits to the United States and China, Prime Minister Prachanda returned to Nepal on Saturday and provided information about this at Tribhuvan International Airport. “An invitation has been extended to the Secretary-General for a visit to Nepal, and he has accepted my invitation.
He will visit Nepal soon,” he said. Before his visit to China, Prachanda, who had participated in the United Nations General Assembly on September 17, had held talks with Guterres. Prachanda said, “During the meeting, discussions were held on the progress made by Nepal in the peace process, UN support for climate change mitigation in Nepal, support for Nepal’s development and strengthening under the United Nations, and Nepal’s contribution to peacekeeping activities under the United Nations.
