Nepali national cricket team member Ashif Sheikh has also been accused of rape. It has been reported that he appeared at the Metropolitan Police Circle in Kathmandu on Sunday to face rape charges. Afterward, the victim was sent to the Women’s Cell in Kalimati as per the police. However, the Women’s Cell reportedly did not properly handle the victim’s case, and today the victim has stated that she will file a complaint again. If the complaint is filed, the police are prepared to investigate cricketer Sheikh.
Previously, cricketer Sandeep was also accused of rape, and an investigation against him is still ongoing.

Asif Sheikh became the first Nepali to win the ICC award
Nepali national cricket team’s wicketkeeper-batsman Asif Sheikh was awarded the ICC Spirit of Cricket Award in 2022. What is the incident of Ashif Sheikh?
Aasif Sheikh, a member of the Nepali public justice platoon, has been indicted of sexual assault, which is
presently being bandied on social media. The youthful woman claimed in her complaint that she had
consensual hassles with Aasif Sheikh, but that once their relationship ended, she suffered from emotional
stress.
There have not been any sanctioned complaints from the youthful woman to the police up to this point,
according to Deputy Superintendent of Police Kumud Dhungel of the Kalimati Police Station in Kathmandu.
The matter has been made public on social media, however, so the police are apprehensive of it.
The youthful woman has been advised by the police to come forward and submit a formal report if she
wishes to pursue this situation further.
The Nepal Cricket Association( CAN) has likewise said that they don’t retain any formal information about
the allegations made against Aasif Sheikh. According to CAN President Chatur Bahadur Chand,” We’ve seen
the complaint on social media, but we do not have any sanctioned information about it.”
Aasif Sheikh, an opening batsman for the Nepali public justice platoon, is well- known for his noteworthy
