This message was reinforced during the Nepal-India competition that took place on Monday, with a particular scene being deemed “significant.” The Nepal Cricket Association (CAN) shared a video on their Facebook page where an Indian player is seen presenting medals to Nepali players.
Indian cricket stars Virat Kohli, Hardik Pandya, and coach Rahul Dravid are seen in the video awarding medals to Nepali players. Virat Kohli awarded a medal to Aasif Sheikh, Hardik Pandya to Sompal Kami, and the Indian team’s coach Rahul Dravid presented a medal to Dipendra Singh Airee.
Notably, Monty Desai, the head coach of the Nepali national team and a former Indian cricketer, has introduced the concept of the “Happy Dressing Room” in the Nepali team. According to him, this concept is designed to honor players who consistently deliver outstanding performances in various ways.
Based on the “Happy Dressing Room” concept, Nepali players were honored by Indian players and coaches. Coach Desai recognized Sompal Kami as the “Star All-rounder” and Dipendra Singh Airee as the “Star Fielder.”
In the Asia Cup cricket match that took place on Monday, Nepal and India competed against each other. Nepal received praise for their “excellent performance” in the game, although India won the match with ten wickets.
