The Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal’s initiative to make the labor market respectful and secure was discussed during a meeting held on Friday morning at the Prime Minister’s Office in Singha Durbar. In the discussions the issues faced by Nepalis working in foreign employment their problems, and possible solutions were considered along with the management of the domestic labor market within the country. This meeting, as conveyed by the Prime Ministers Secretariat was of paramount importance.
The discussion also included the incorporation of laborers into the Social Security Fund. For this purpose, an official event is scheduled to take place on Shrawan 31.
During the discussions Prime Minister Prachanda emphasized on addressing various natural problems faced by Nepali workers in foreign employment and proposed detailed studies on long term solutions. These findings and proposals were presented in another meeting after a thorough examination.
The Prime Minister directed efforts to ensure that foreign employment becomes organized safe and respects the dignity and protection of Nepali workers ultimately contributing to the nations economy. Key participants in the discussions included Deputy Prime Minister Purna Bahadur Khadka Finance Minister Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat Minister for Labor Employment and Social Security Sharad Singh Bhandari Chief Secretary of the Government of Nepal Dr. Baikuntha Aryal Secretaries of Finance Foreign Affairs Labor and Prime Minister’s Office among other prominent officials.
