The government has approved Vice President Ram Sahaya Prasad’s visit to China. The decision was made public during a press conference organized at Singha Durbar on Wednesday by the Ministry of Communications, Information, and Technology. According to the government spokesperson, Rekha Sharma, Vice President Prasad will visit the city of Kunming in China from July 31 to August 3, attending the 27th China-South Asia Expo and the 7th China (Kunming) Import and Export Fair.
The Cabinet meeting held on Tuesday has approved 715 temporary bans on certain positions under the Ministry of Labor, Employment, and Social Security, including the Prime Minister’s Employment Program and the Labor and Occupational Safety Department.
Similarly, the meeting has also decided to take action against Aman Chaudhary (Agrawal) and Sofia Ruth Bhandari for providing false information and obtaining citizenship illegally. The spokesperson Sharma informed that their citizenship will be revoked, and they will be removed from Nepali citizenship. Legal action will be taken against those individual who are found to be involved.
Furthermore, in the meeting, it was decided to provide permission to the Chief Election Commissioner to participate in a program to be held in Sweden on September 19 and 20. The modified Gurujyoti program in Singha Durbar was also approved.
Spokesperson Sharma mentioned that in the context of the Sun Tawari case the government trusts the process of investigation being carried out by the state entities. She stated that if the research conducted by the state is not conclusive another decision can be made. She highlighted the governments commitment to supporting the state in its research.
Regarding the ongoing obstruction in the parliament, she said that the government is focused on finding a way out and is in discussion. Sharma emphasized that the government takes the recent flooding in various places like Kathmandu seriously and aims to enhance development plans in an organized manner.
She also informed that a plan has been formulated by the Ministry of Agriculture to control and provide relief for the recent outbreak of the Lampi skin disease in Pashupati area.
