‘Learning by earning and earning by learning’ programme to be implemented in community schools

A programme ‘Learning by earning and earning by learning’ is to be implemented at community schools in Bagmati Province.
The Education Development Directorate, Hetauda, under Social Development Ministry of Bagmati Province is going to implement the programme in the current fiscal year.

Director of the Education Development Directorate, Purna Bahadur Darji, said the programme is going to be implemented connecting the students of community schools with livelihood. The Directorate is spending Rs 18.15 million to implement the programme.

Darji mentioned that it is planned to invest for the programme that connect students with agriculture and technology and 50 per cent income of the total income made from the programme would be deposited at school fund and the remaining 50 per cent would be provided to students.
The Social Development Ministry had launched the programme in the last fiscal year while the Directorate is going to launch this programme in the current fiscal year.
Making the students capable for their livelihood after completing their school education is the main objective of the programme, it is said.
