The meeting between the Chairman of the Communist Party of China and the Central Political Bureau member, Yuan Chya Chyu, during his visit to Nepal, focused on various bilateral issues, including economic, trade, political, social, and religious matters. The Secretary of the Kathmandu City Committee was also present during the meeting.
During the meeting, Chairman Ghimire expressed gratitude for China’s continued support and high importance given to Nepal, mentioning that China’s bilateral political visits, including President Xi Jinping’s visit in 2019, have strengthened the cooperation for Nepal’s development and prosperity.
Chairman Ghimire highlighted that Nepal is a beautiful and attractive country, and China’s assistance, even on a small scale, contributes to Nepal’s prosperity. He also mentioned that the historical ties between China and Nepal, influenced by the Himalayas, rivers, religion, and culture, have been strong.
Furthermore, the Chairman emphasized that a significant part of Nepal’s tourists come from China, contributing significantly to Nepal’s tourism industry.
In response, Yuan Chya Chyu, a member of the Political Bureau, expressed his commitment to support Nepal in becoming self-reliant in food production, and he conveyed China’s willingness to provide assistance in this regard. He also extended his invitation to Chairman Ghimire for a visit to China.
This meeting signifies the close relations between Nepal and China, with discussions aimed at further strengthening their cooperation and partnership in various sectors.
