The Bhansar Office located at Tribhuvan International Airport has seized a little over 4 kilograms of gold-colored metal. This metal was found in possession of a Thai citizen who arrived in Kathmandu from Bangkok, and they were carrying more than 4 kilograms of the same gold-like metal as the one seized by the Bhansar Office.
According to an official from the Bhansar Office, the Thai citizen had hidden the gold-like metal in the size of 10 thin biscuits inside a bag. The Bhansar Office has sent the metal for testing to the Bhansar Department situated in Tripureshwar to determine if it is genuine gold or not.
The Thai citizen, Sawan, claims that the seized metal is not gold, and he had brought it for religious purposes. However, the officials from the Bhansar Office assert that the metal may indeed be gold.
