Real Madrid forward Rodrigo expressed his belief in the potential arrival of Kylian Mbappé during this summer’s transfer window. The Brazilian star emphasized that Mbappé’s arrival would greatly support Real Madrid.
Mbappé, the superstar of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), has initiated negotiations for a contract renewal while currently undergoing training with the club. PSG has indicated that they will not entertain any offers for Mbappé in the current transfer window.
Mbappé has reportedly decided not to renew his contract with PSG. He is considering leaving the club. Real Madrid has been closely monitoring the situation.
Rodrigo, who won the 2018 World Cup with Mbappé, believes in the Frenchman’s potential transfer to the club. He stated, “Real Madrid is a complex place. There is always speculation. This year, there is talk about Harry Kane. We have no information, but we observe and wait. I believe Mbappé will come. He will provide us with great support. He is a true star. However, we are not sure.”
Real Madrid is prepared to pay around €200 million for the French striker. If PSG puts Mbappé on the transfer market, there is a possibility that Real Madrid will enter the bidding. Mbappé does not want to leave France this year due to the loyalty bonus he would receive. He intends to spend one more season in France.
If he stays until July 31, he will receive a loyalty bonus of 50% of his contractual value, which amounts to €40 million. If Mbappé and PSG agree on the amount for the renewal of the loyalty bonus, his future journey will become clearer.
