West Indies has won the five-match T20 International series against India. In the crucial match held on Saturday night in their home ground, West Indies secured a victory by defeating India with 8 wickets. This win marks West Indies’ victory against India in a T20 series after 6 years.
Chasing India’s target of 166 runs, West Indies completed it in the 18th over, losing 2 wickets. West Indies opener Brandon King played an impressive innings of 85 runs. Similarly, Nicholas Pooran scored 47 runs, and Shai Hope contributed 22 runs.
Earlier, India had scored 165 runs after losing 9 wickets in their allotted 20 overs after winning the toss. India’s Suryakumar Yadav played a half-century innings of 61 runs, and Tilak Baram also added 27 runs to the total.
West Indies’ Romario Shepherd took the highest 4 wickets, while spinners Akeal Hosein and Jason Holder took 2 wickets each.
West Indies had won the first match by four runs, and in the second match, they secured victory by 2 wickets. In the following two matches, India won consecutively with 7 and 9 wickets respectively.
