Kathmandu. Sri Lankan cricket, which has been facing many ups and downs in recent times, brought happiness on Wednesday. After 27 years, Sri Lanka won the ODI series against India.
Sri Lanka won the three-match series 2-0 by winning a comfortable 10-run victory over India in the match on Wednesday. Sri Lanka had not won an ODI series against India since 1997. Sri Lanka won the second and third matches as the first one-day match between the two countries was a tie in the ongoing series in Sri Lanka.
After winning the toss and batting first, Sri Lanka scored 248 runs in Wednesday’s match. In response, India were bowled out for 138 runs in 26.1 overs. The Indian batsman became helpless with the Sri Lankan spinner.
This defeat is also a shock for the new coach of the Indian team, Gautam Gambhir. However, India won the T-20 series by 3-0.
