Voting for the sixth phase of the Lok Sabha elections in India is underway.
Voting for various 58 seats in 8 states including Union Territories started on Saturday morning.
Seven seats in Delhi, 10 seats in Haryana, 8 seats in Bihar, one seat in Jammu and Kashmir, four seats in Jharkhand, 6 seats in Odisha, 14 seats in Uttar Pradesh and 8 seats in West Bengal are being voted on today.
Along with the Lok Sabha, Odisha is also voting for 42 assembly seats. Assembly elections are being voted in four phases in Odisha. The first and second phase of voting has been held here on May 13 and May 20. The final round of voting will be held on June 1.
There are 968 million voters to vote for the sixth phase of the Lok Sabha. Of these, 1.89 million are voting for the first time. Similarly, there are 197.4 million voters between the ages of 20 and 29.
In the sixth phase, New Delhi, North East Delhi, North West Delhi, Chandni Chowk and Sultanpur and Azamgarh of Uttar Pradesh are popular seats.
Of these, Anantnag-Rajouri of Jammu Kashmir, Tamluk Modinipur of West Bengal, Karnal, Kurukshetra, Gurgaon, Rohtak of Haryana and Bhubaneswar, Puri and Sambalpur seats of Odisha are prominent.

Sambit Patra
Sambit Patra is the spokesperson of Bharatiya Janata Party. He is contesting from Odisha.
dharmendra pradhan
Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, who is also the leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party, is a candidate for the Sambalpur seat in Odisha.
Maneka Gandhi
Maneka Gandhi is contesting from Sultanpur seat of Uttar Pradesh for the second time. BJP did not give ticket to his son Barun Gandhi this year.
Kanhaiya Kumar
Kanhaiya Kumar is the Congress candidate for North East Lok Sabha seat in Delhi. The BJP has fielded Manoj Tiwari as its candidate to contest against Kanhaiya Kumar, the former president of the JNU Students’ Union.
Delhi Chief Minister Arbind Kejriwal, who was arrested in connection with the liquor policy scam, was absent just before the polls.
After being released from prison, he is continuously campaigning for elections. The Kejriwal factor will also make the sixth phase of polling more crucial.
The final round of voting will be held on June 1. Counting of votes will start from June 4 after all phases of voting are over.
