Kathmandu: Nepal has entered the semi-finals after defeating Kuwait. In the ongoing ACC Women’s Premier Cup cricket tournament in Malaysia, Nepal defeated Kuwait by 8 wickets in the DLS method.
Nepal got the target of 50 runs in 12 overs from DLS and completed it in 6.5 overs. Indu Burma remained unbeaten on 22 runs for Nepal. Similarly, Kavita Kunwar was out for 1 run, Sita Rana Magar was out for 17 runs. Kavita Joshi remained unbeaten on 4 runs.
Earlier, Kuwait scored 73 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in the scheduled overs. Nepalese bowler Sita Ranamar took a hat-trick wicket in the match. Ranamar took the wicket of Kuwaiti batsman Priyada Murali in 12.2 overs. In 12.3 overs, Kuwait’s Maryam Omar was stumped by Kajal Shrestha off Ranamar.
In the fourth ball of the 12 overs, Kuwait captain Amna Sharif sent Tariq back to the pavilion. Similarly, Ruveena Chhetri took 2 wickets and Kavita Kunwar took 2 wickets.
