Janakpurdham. The Armed Police Force has started maintenance and painting of the border posts on the Nepal-India border in all the eight districts of Madhes Province.
In the fifth meeting of the Nepal-India Boundary Working Group, among the border pillars that were repaired and constructed after 2074, the Armed Police Force, which is in charge of border security, has started repairing and painting the border pillars with odd numbers.
The work was done in ward no. 2, Jatahi Naka side border pillar no. It has been started from 285÷4. Though there are more than 4000 border posts in Madhes, as per the requirement, maintenance and painting of more than 1000 border posts has been started in the first phase, said DIG Dipendra Shah, Chief of Armed Police Force Nepal No. 2 Chinnamasta Bahini Headquarters.
According to DIG Shah, this work has been started because the border pillars in good condition will make it easier for the Armed Police Force of Nepal to protect the border more effectively. He says that this will help not only in border security but also in controlling border crime.
