Prime Minister Pushpa kamal Dahal Prachanda Returns Home after Completing Italy Visit.
Today Prime Minister Pushpa kamal Dahal Prachanda returned to Nepal after successfully concluding his visit to Italy. He was welcomed at the Tribhuvan International Airport by the Speaker of the House of Representatives Devraj Ghimire the Chairman of the National Assembly Ganesh Prasad Timilsina Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Purna Bahadur Khadka Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Home Affairs Narayan Kaji Shrestha other ministers high-ranking government officials and dignitaries.
During his visit Prime Minister Dahal led the Nepalese delegation at the Food Systems Summit Plus Two organized by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization in Rome. In his address at the summit he emphasized the need to enhance the capacity to adapt and combat climate change and other crises to bolster the agricultural sector in the least developed countries. Additionally Prime Minister Dahal also addressed the United Nations Food Systems-2023 Stocking Moment during his stay in Rome.
While in Rome Prime Minister Dahal held bilateral talks with his Bangladeshi counterpart, Sheikh Hasina discussing bilateral interests and regional concerns. He also met with the Secretary General of the United Nations Antonio Guterres, at the headquarters of the Food and Agriculture Organization.
Furthermore, Prime Minister Dahal had a meeting with the Executive Director of the World Food Program David Beasley and the Head of the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) Gilbert Houngbo.
During his visit Prime Minister Dahal also participated in a welcome event organized by the Non Resident Nepali Association in Italy. He engaged in discussions with representatives of Nepali progressive forums from Italy Belgium, Spain, Croatia, Portugal, Austria, and Ireland.
Accompanying the Prime Minister on his visit were his personal secretary and daughter, Ganga Dahal Minister of Agriculture and Livestock Development Dr. Beduram Bhusal Member of the National Planning Commission Dr. Jayakant Raut security personnel and communication staff.
