The case of Lalita Niwas has begun with the hearing of a writ petition filed by Prakash Kumar Dhungana and Nahakul Subedi in the Joint Bench of the Supreme Court, consisting of Justices Prakash Kumar Dhungana and Nahakul Subedi.
The debate continued on Monday, and as the scheduled time approached, it was kept for today’s hearing.
In the Lalita Niwas land forgery case, Secretary Krishna Bahadur Raut, former Election Commission Secretary Sudheer Kumar Shah, businessman Min Bahadur Gurung, and former employee of the Land Revenue Office, Dharmaprasad Gautam, are in police custody.
Without any reason mentioned, the arrested individuals filed a writ petition for the habeas corpus in the Supreme Court on Asar 13. The Supreme Court has consolidated the writ petitions related to the dispute and is conducting the hearing in the same place.
In the same case, the individuals who had been released by submitting their documents, such as Khadga Bahadur Deuja, Surendra Man Kapali, and Hupendra Mani Keshi, were taken into custody again. The land of Lalita Niwas, located in Baluwatar, which has been under government ownership since 2049 BS to 2069 BS, was found to have been registered in the names of various individuals. The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of the police has been investigating the same case.
